A fire-resistant silicate-based paste made from modified silicate resin. For use on materials operating at very high temperatures - above +1000°C (resistant to temperatures from -40°C to +1200°C).
Used for the permanent repair and sealing of joints, joints, holes and cracks in stoves, fireplaces and chimney modules. The product is used in the assembly of exhaust components for exhaust systems in vehicles and machinery to ensure leak-free and hermetic, heat-resistant joints. The product is characterised by excellent adhesion to shamott plates, stone, metal and cast iron. Suitable for use on vertical surfaces. Resistant to exhaust gases, liquids and cold temperatures after full cure.
Safe to use - asbestos free.
APPLICATION
1. Ensure that surfaces are clean and free from rust, dirt and grease.
2. If possible, rub the surfaces with a medium sandpaper.
3. Moisten the surfaces with water and smear the paste where required.
4. The joint must be fixed within five minutes after application of the product to ensure good contact between the sealant and the substrate.
5. Remove excess paste with a damp cloth.
6.
INSTALLATION OF EXHAUST SYSTEMS
Run the engine at low speed until the engine warms up. This will allow the paste to cure and the material will form a gas tight seal.
7.
SEALING OF JOINTS IN STOVES, FIREPLACES AND CHIMNEYS
Increase the temperature of the stove/fireplace gradually. This will allow the paste to cure and the material to form a gas-tight seal.
8.
REPAIRING CRACKS AND SMALL HOLES
Apply a layer of paste, place heat-resistant mesh (supplied) directly on the paste; wait until the paste dries slightly. Apply a second coat of paste. Then run the motor at low speed until the motor warms up or gradually increase the oven/fireplace temperature.
