3 simple steps: sand, polish, protect!
Thanks to the use of this kit, there is no need to replace your headlamps with new ones.
Easy to use.
The kit does not include an electric polisher.
Designed to restore two headlamps.
The kit includes:
2 x sandpaper, hardness P800.
2 x sandpaper, hardness P1200.
2 x sandpaper, hardness P2000
2 x sponge (1 x white, 1 x orange)
1x 85g tube of polishing compound
2 x 3ml UV protectant
1 x masking tape (300*2 cm)
1 x holder base plate
1 x M10 threaded adapter for mounting on drill
Instructions:
If possible, use an electric polisher, a drill. Use an electric polisher (M10). If necessary, attach an adapter to the base plate for connection to the drill.
Preparation: clean the headlamp glass with water. Cover the area around the glass with tape to avoid scratching nearby painted surfaces.
Sanding: moisten the sanding disc with water and attach it to the base plate. Sand with 3 different sanding discs of 3 different hardnesses to completely remove severe yellowing, fading and corrosion. Apply water to the sanding disc and sand to the substrate. Use grinding discs from coarse to fine: P800-P1200-P2000 (numbers on the back of the grinding disc). The process must be done in the correct order to achieve the desired result.
Polishing:
Attach the orange polishing hammer to the base plate and add the polishing paste from the tube to the hammer. Polish the glass until the shine of the glass is restored. Use a polisher or a drill (better result than hand polishing). If you polish by hand, make at least 200 turns clockwise with the polishing pad.
Coating with protective wax:
Clean the fire glass of polishing residue and dry. Clean the fire glass, wipe off the polish, wipe off the polish and apply the UV protective grease evenly to the fire glass and leave on for 10-15 min (no more run-off). When applying the protective fluid to the headlamp, avoid sunlight. 10-15 % of the protective fluid should be left on the headlamp. Dry immediately in direct sunlight for 1-2 hours . Make sure that dust and other dirt do not get into the grease as this will affect the brightness of the headlamp. Keep the glass dry, do not wash for 24h. Do not apply UV grease below 15C.
